Sam Schutte, Partner

sam1Sam began his technology career working at a rapidly growing Y2K software company based in Cincinnati – Millennium Dynamics – which during his time there went from an initial 6 employees to over 300 employees before being acquired by Peritus Software Systems in 1997.  That initial exposure to the energy of software product development led him to obtaining a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and his passion for pragmatic business decision-making and strategy led him to later receive an MBA from Xavier University.

During his career, he has worked as a software developer for companies building medical records systems, document retention policy systems, SAP toolkits, healthcare workflow applications, and many other software products.  In 2004, he co-founded DetermaSoft, LLC, a company focusing on e-commerce solutions for small businesses.  In 2006, he worked with Mr. Gibson and a partner to build ARGUS, a web-enabled GIS and video analytics solution that saw early success to city police departments, and which at one time was utilizing a significant percentage of Time Warner’s network bandwidth to stream security camera footage.

In 2008, he founded Unstoppable Software, Inc., an Agile custom software development company focused on scaling client business models.  As part of Unstoppable Software, he has led teams and acted as a trusted advisor to build scores of web, mobile, and desktop applications for clients – including Fortune 500 clients such as ThyssenKrupp, US Steel, Ball Corporation, and Marathon, and created reseller partnerships with several software product companies such as M-Files, Ultimus, Chronoscan, and PSIGen.  In 2013, Unstoppable Software was awarded the “Most Dedicated Partner” award by M-Files, for its enterprise software sales results.

Sam is a published author in the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research, lives with his wife and three children in the Sharonville area, loves mountaineering and the outdoors, and is an active member of the Cincinnati Rotary Club and Cincinnati ACG.

Grant Gibson, Partner

GG color headshotGrant has always had a passion for developing cutting-edge software solutions, as well as an unbelievable drive to grow his businesses.  He received a degree in Geographic Information Systems from Ohio University in 2003, and soon after founded GIS Dynamics, LLC, which went from one employee in his parents’ basement to a multi-million dollar consulting and product development company within three years.  With Grant at the helm, he completed software product development projects for Duke Energy, Public Storage, Great American Insurance as well as other Fortune 500 clients, and created partnerships with industry-leading firms such as ESRI.  He then worked with Mr. Schutte and a partner to develop ARGUS – a video streaming and GIS software product – and also created the software products Go iLawn, and Go iPave.  The company’s suite of SAAS products rose to having over 3,500 users each per month, and led to an exit for Grant from GIS Dynamics in late 2011.

After his success with GIS Dynamics, Grant scratched an entrepreneurial itch that he long had wanted to try – creating an Eco-business in the organic recycling space.  He launched Compost Cincy, LLC with $500,000 of seed capital he raised, obtained all the necessary permits in an amazingly short amount of time, and within the first year of business Compost Cincy was not only doing revenue near $1,000,000, but was also receiving organic materials from major companies such as Kroger, Castellini, and JM Smucker in the amount of 100 tons per day – an astounding amount of organic materials diverted from the landfill the equivalent of removing 4,000 cars’ worth of emissions from the road annually.

Grant exited Compost Cincy in 2014, and then spent time in software product management positions in the GIS space before launching Unstoppable Labs, LLC in 2016.

Grant lives in Madeira with his wife and son, is an avid rock climber, and is always looking for the next market opportunity on the horizon.
